About Jenisha Patel
The Full Story
Jenisha Patel is a young Indian Designer. Born and raised in a small town of Gujarat, called Valsad. She did her high school in Commerce. Then she moved to London, United Kingdom starting her career in fashion. At first, Foundation from the London College of fashion, and later BA (Hons) Fashion Design & Womenswear, Fashion/Apparel Design from Istituto Marangoni. Her passion is to create her own sustainable brand that will contribute to the betterment of society from its earnings and also help preserve the diminishing culture and art forms of clothing decoration.
Personal professional history:
As part of Jenisha Patel's degree, she completed several internships to enhance her skills in specific areas of fashion design. This included a 3-month Production internship at David Koma. She also completed a 5-month Sample Room internship at Emilia Wickstead which involved sewing, organising fabric and pattern tracing, assisting with bridal wear, etc. She also completed a 6-month internship at Their Nibs, which is a childrenswear brand where she created hand-drawn prints and designs. Her designs got produced and sold well. She recently completed a 5- month internship at Rahul Mishra where she assisted in garment creation for Paris Fashion week and Indian Couture week. Further, she took up various voluntary roles in the industry over a 4-year period, including an embroidery and embellishment assistant, a styling assistant and a backstage dresser at university fashion shows, photoshoots, as well as for London Fashion Week.
She has been keeping busy lately with passion projects as well as some commissioned work, but I’m always looking for new opportunities. For information about collaborations and my availability for other projects, please be in touch.
